Fascination and the Second Death

The state of being in fascination.  What is the difference between fascination and gratitude?  We examine this fallen state as being fuel for the ego and it's tricky nature of deception.  What is the link from gratitude to fascination?  From the gnostic method lessons, we talk about lesson 20 and 21 for waking up in the astral.  What does it mean to awaken in the 5D/astral.  Does a second death need to take place?  From our recent synchronicities on our path from spiritual to mystical, the path is revealing itself for a second ego 5D/astral death.  The caterpillar cannot become a butterfly without a certain death transition.  Is this the "solar body" Christ incarnate?  The second coming?
